Is the food included in membership?
Expansion hosts two types of dinners and they work differently.

Biweekly Tuesday Dinners. Members pay for their own food and drink at the restaurant. Membership covers the room, the matching, and the host. This keeps the membership accessible and the restaurants happy.

Members-only VIP Dinners. Different experience. Invitation-only and all-inclusive. The food, the drinks, and the room are on Expansion. See the next question for details.
What are the Members-only VIP Dinners?
VIP Dinners are different from the biweekly dinners. These are exclusive, invitation-only events for active members. Active members get first right of refusal when seats open. All-inclusive — the food, the drinks, and the room are on Expansion.
What if I can't make a dinner?
Just reply NO to your Thursday RSVP text. No penalty, no awkwardness. We only ask that you let us know by Sunday so we can finalize the table.
How are the tables matched?
During your application, you'll tell us your title, industry, business stage, and what you're building. We match tables to create the right balance: similar enough to connect, different enough to keep it interesting.
What happens when 50 founding spots fill in Folsom?
Founding membership closes. Anyone who joined as a founding member keeps their founding rate for life. New members after that join at the standard rate.
What if Expansion isn't in my city yet?
Request a seat anyway. We're launching new cities every quarter and we add ambassadors based on application volume. You'll be first in line when we open yours.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel anytime. Your founding rate is locked for life as long as your membership stays active. If you leave and come back later, you'll join at the standard rate.
